Toledo Lucas County Public Library to offer ‘Playaway View’ beginning July 18 | Families

On Monday, July 18 the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will debut Playaway VIEW ™ , the first self-playing, pre-loaded video player exclusive to libraries.

The library released the following information about the new product:

Think of the Playaway VIEW ™ as education meets entertainment with an all-in-one video player. Your children’s favorite videos come pre-loaded and ready to go wherever you go! And it’s all FREE!

What’s Playaway VIEW ™:

• A portable device that can be enjoyed via its internal speaker or with headphones, which will be available at all library locations for the cost of $2
• Convenient, preloaded content; no Internet or downloads needed
• Durable and scratch-resistant: Made with kids in mind
• Multiple Videos: Each view holds hours of great content
• Playaway Views will circulate for seven days, with a limit of two per library card.  They will be available for request and renewable

The makers of the Playaway VIEW ™, Playaway ® - an all-in-one audiobook product in schools and libraries, are launching the VIEW with numerous titles, and are adding more monthly from the best of children’s content – Sesame Street, Weston Woods and Spoken Arts are just a few studios that are being brought to life. The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will debut 85 titles, with many new titles coming!

The Sanger Branch will host a special launch showcase of Playaway VIEW ™ Wednesday, July 20 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
