City to hold public meeting on Secor Road project Tuesday

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - The City of Toledo will hold a meeting for the public to comment on the upcoming Secor Road construction project on Tuesday.

The project will include a complete reconstruction of Secor Road from I-475 to Central Avenue.  The city says Secor will get new asphalt, curbs, sidewalks, traffic signals, storm drains and a new water line. The process will take about a year.  Area residents say they are not excited to deal with the project, but look forward to the finished product.

“It's terrible. It hasn't been touched in probably over two decades, so it’s time for it. It’s gonna be a bear but it’s necessary. Like medicine it doesn’t taste good but you have to have it and its gonna be great when they finish it,” said Ruthie Sembly.

A meeting for public comment on the project will be held Tuesday, February 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 4256 Secor Road.
